about
No hope
The morning sun rises
Wake from my sleep
I can hear the voices
They’re coming for me
So I get up from the floor, still dressed from the day before
The dust has settled, it’s in my eyes. I look around, is this my life?
What’s the worst that can happen? I’ve made my peace.
If it’s time for me to go, I’ll take them with me.
There is no hope
We’ve done this to ourselves
As the sun goes down
I can’t believe
I dodged death another day
Can we stop this, please?
Or are we destined to suffer?
Our only goal is to kill each other.
A waste of time, a wasted life
I’ll take yours, you take mine
The same old story, again and again
An ice cold death will be our end
Don’t tell me that’s the best we’ve got
An endless war, I’ve had enough
No hope
I’ve had enough
From where I stand
It’s looking dark
From where I stand
It will never stop
Living in
A Perfect World
It must be nice
I couldn’t tell
Wonderful dramatic opening, the voice of a black woman in all her honesty, vulnerability and openess. And then one of the fiercest tracks of Zulu, total hardcore: 'Now they are through with me', full of twists and turns, and suddenly ending in a kind of soul-track, brilliant! This is 21st century music at it's best. The end lecture is dramatic and disturbing, spoken again by a black woman. Makes you think. Hesperus
